Make sure your executor is capable of doing the job.

An executor of the will is a person named in the will who oversees such tasks as gathering estate assets, paying the deceased’s debts and dividing the remains of the deceased’s estate among the beneficiaries. While this can be a challenging task, it is recommended that the person named assume responsibility understanding that the task will be time-consuming and stressful.

The moment the executor begins the task of dealing with the estate assets, they are legally bound to complete the job and can only be relieved of their responsibility by court order.
