Buried for good luck

“The only sure thing about luck is that it will change.” – Wison Mizner

A Russian man requested his friend to bury him alive in a homemade coffin overnight for good luck. Rumor has it that if you are buried alive it will provide you good luck. This man’s luck ran out when the next morning he was found dead.

The coffin was not a typical coffin, as it was equipped with holes for air pipes. The man brought a cell phone and called his friend to let him know he was “fine.”

The friend buried the coffin in roughly 8 inches of dirt and that evening it rained. It is believed the rain mixed with earth may have blocked the air holes during the course of the night suffocating the man.

Reportedly this is not the first time these strange incidents have happened in Russia. Last summer a man had his friend bury him alive in hopes that he would get over his fear of death. He was later found dead, crushed by the earth he was buried in.
