Jack Nicholson considering a Sky Burial

by K-Dean

"We live, we die, and the wheels on the bus go round and round." Edward Cole, the character played by Jack Nicholson in the movie The Bucket List.

The Bucket List star, Jack Nicholson, is considering being picked apart by vultures when he dies.

The 74-year-old actor has become fascinated with the traditional sky burials carried out by some Native Americans which involve the deceased’s body being hung from a tree and left for scavengers. The Native Americans believe by raising the body up high the soul could leave its mortal shell faster.

Nicholson once thought about being buried under a large statue at least ten metres high, but then found the culture of Indians much more intriguing. Although Nicholson is undecided about the fate of his remains, one thing he is sure of is he does not want to be laid to rest in a coffin. He thinks he will most likely end up in a crematorium, because he is too claustrophobic to lie in a coffin.

With the passing of his long time friend Dennis Hopper in 2010, Nicholson is thinking more and more about death these days. He insists he isn’t scared of death and feels that he has achieved everything he wanted to in life.
