Tony Stewart’s Unusual Vehicleby P-Francone
NASCAR driver Tony Stewart is known as an avid car collector, and owns several high end vehicles, including a 2005 Lamborghini Murciliagio, the NASCAR car he crashed at the 2001 Daytona 500, the first car he won at Richmond with, a 2003 Hummer that was souped up by Dub, a 1956 Chevy shorted pick-up truck, 1950 Mercury, a 1957 Chevy Bel-Air, a Corvette that served as one of the pace car at the 2007 Brickyard 4000, a Shelby Series 1, his custom Monte Carlo, 1967 Pontiac GTO, 1957 Chevy Nomad, 1979 Pontiac Trans-Am Firebird Smokey and the Bandit Edition, but of course his coolest car is not any of these.
Tony Stewart owns a hearse, a fully custom 1984 Cadillac ‘Smoke DeVille’. This hearse started off as a basic Cadillac Brougham hearse, until it was turned over to Will Castro and his crew at New York’s Unique Whips (SPEED Channel (pm ET and PT). The crew there souped it up and made this basic old hearse into a badass new whip, guaranteeing that Tony Stewart will no longer be remembered just as a great driver, from now on he is the undertaker of auto shows too.
