Airline Shuffle of the Dead

by M-Rebeiro

This man may have missed his flight but he took off first on a solo trip to the heavens.

Two women were arrested in April 2010 when they attempted to board a dead relative onto a plane in Liverpool.

Staff became suspicious when the widow and step-daughter of 91-year-old Curt Willi Jarant tried to check him onto a flight to Berlin. The pair told authorities they believed he was asleep, which would be reasonable considering his condition. They were arrested on suspicion of failing to give notification of a death. In September of 2010 they were acquitted of all charges as pathologists determined that the man had actually died at some point between getting into the taxi and arriving at the airport.
